EntreCultures 2nd Edition, Level 3
In Level 3 of the EntreCultures series, we offer challenging tasks designed to refine learners' skills. Additionally, learners will have the chance to explore the unique perspectives of students from various Francophone countries, all while integrating key AP® skills.

Key Features
-
The comprehensive Teacher Edition of EntreCultures provides guidance in incorporating proficiency-based instruction in your classroom. It includes instructional notes, answer keys, scaffolding tips, support for advanced learners, and connections to other disciplines, ensuring educators have the tools needed to effectively teach with the series.
-
The series incorporates key themes and subthemes from Advanced Placement (AP®) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs right from the start. This alignment helps students engage with content that is directly relevant to these curricula, enhancing their overall educational experience.
-
EntreCultures incorporates a broad range of authentic materials that immerse learners in real-world cultural contexts, including print, audio, video, and images. These resources enhance students' understanding of cultural products, practices, and perspectives.
-
The series uses a backward design approach, beginning with clear essential questions and learning objectives that align with target proficiency levels and AP® themes. This ensures that activities and assessments are strategically designed to guide learners through their journey from formative to summative assessments.
-
Each unit includes assignable Can-Do Statements that help learners see a direct connection between tasks and their language goals in French. Learners can upload completed Can-Do assignments to their student portfolios to track progress, and when it’s time to assess their learning, they can complete differentiated formative assessments to prepare them for summative assessments.
-
An Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA) is a final project that evaluates students' language proficiency. At the end of each unit, students complete "J’y arrive," a summative IPA that assesses their skills in the context of a personalized cultural scenario.
-
Each unit is introduced by young native French speakers in engaging video blogs. These videos provide authentic insights into language and culture to reinforce important themes and topics covered in the unit.
-
Wayside has more than 20 French CI/ADI readers, and our library continues to grow. With CI/ADI Correlation Guides, you will easily find a selection of readers to fit your learners' needs.
-
EntreCultures emphasizes the development of intercultural understanding alongside language skills. Each unit includes reflection prompts and activities that encourage learners to explore and appreciate the cultural richness within Francophone communities.
-
Nualang, an interactive platform, is seamlessly integrated throughout the series to help students practice listening, speaking, and pronunciation skills. Instant feedback from Nualas further supports effective language learning.
