Wayside Returns Policy

Wayside Publishing will accept returns of items purchased from the Wayside Web Shop for a full refund to your original mode of payment, provided the following conditions are met:
- Items are returned within 30 days of purchase.
- You bought the item from Wayside Publishing and can return it with its original packing slip. If you do not have your packing slip, contact Wayside Customer Service
- Print items are returned in new, unmarked, and resalable condition
- Digital products are in an un-activated state
- Returned items have not been declared Out-of-Print for 90 days or more
- Return shipping and handling costs are covered by the customer

If Wayside receives a return that does not meet the conditions listed above, a refund may not be issued. -
Wayside Publishing accepts returns from schools and districts for store credit only.
Please note that exchanges and refunds are not available.
Eligibility Requirements
Time Frame
- A Return Authorization must be initiated within 30 days of the invoice date. (see below)
Products
- Items must be purchased directly from Wayside Publishing (not a third-party seller or distributor).
- Products must be in new, resalable condition — unmarked, unstamped, and free of district barcoding.
- Multi-format packages (e.g., print + digital) must be returned in full; partial returns (such as digital-only) will not be accepted.
- Digital products must be unactivated.
- Items declared Out-of-Print for 90 days or more are not eligible for return.
Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping and handling costs.
- All return shipments must include a valid Return Authorization (RA) number
- Books must be returned within 30 days of the Return Authorization (RA) date.
Returns that do not meet these conditions may not qualify for store credit.
Return Process

- Once approved, your Return Authorization Number (RA#) will be emailed to you.
- Product Returns
- Physical products: Books must be returned within 30 days of the Return Authorization (RA) date. The return address will be provided with your RA number. Please include the RA number with your shipment.
- Digital products: Licenses associated with the return will be deactivated.
- Credit Memo
- Orders with physical products:
- Once your physical items are received and accepted at our warehouse, a credit memo will be issued to your Accounts Payable contact.
- Orders with digital products:
- A credit memo will be issued to your Accounts Payable contact after the licenses associated with the return are deactivated.
- Applying your credit

If you are a distributor or textbook reseller looking to return an item, you can return items to Wayside for store credit only. Simply follow our Return Authorization process to start your return. But first, please review these important details.
Wayside will accept distributor returns only when the following conditions are met:
- Return Authorization is initiated within 60 days of delivery.
- Products are purchased from Wayside Publishing and are returned in new, unmarked, and resalable condition
- Return shipments are accompanied by a Return Authorization number and a copy of our invoice or invoice information
- Multi-format packages (i.e., print + digital) are returned in full. Partial package returns (e.g., the digital portion of a print + digital package) will not be accepted
- Digital products are in an un-activated state
- Returned items have not been declared Out-of-Print for 90 days or more
- Return shipping and handling costs are covered by the customer
All distributor returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee which will be applied to your store credit
If Wayside receives a return that does not meet the conditions listed above, a credit may not be issued.

Wayside stands by the quality of its products and services. If you are less than 100% satisfied with an order or with a Professional Learning service, our Customer Service team will work to correct the situation as soon as possible at no cost to you.
Here are some typical order quality issues in the publishing industry:- Incorrect item

To submit a claim, please fill out the Quality Assurance Claim Form. A Wayside team member will review your claim and follow up with you regarding next steps, provided the following conditions are met:
- Your claim is submitted within 30 days of delivery.
- Products are purchased from Wayside Publishing (not a third-party seller or distributor).
- You have a Wayside order number, invoice number, and invoice date. If you need help locating these details, give us a call.
Please note that Wayside does not offer refunds for Professional Learning Services except in instances where a) technical difficulties prevent delivery of the service; b) there is a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances; or c) you provide a valid reason that is acceptable to Wayside Publishing.
