Bruna Petrarca Boyle
About
Bruna Petrarca Boyle received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rhode Island. She taught Italian and Spanish at Narragansett High School in Rhode Island for 31 years and was the chairperson of the Foreign Language Department at her school, president of the Rhode Island Teachers of Italian, and Director of the AATI National Italian High School Contest Examination.
Today, Bruna lectures in the Italian Department at the University of Rhode Island and in Spanish at the University of Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. She is a College Board consultant, moderator for the College Board Electronic Discussion Group, and has served on the Task Force Committee for the AP® Italian Language and Culture Course.
Bruna Petrarca Boyle co-authored the Wayside Publishing texts Chiarissimo Uno and Chiarissimo Due with fellow author-educator John Giovanelli. Other titles she has written or contributed to outside of Wayside Publishing include Cinque film italiani, AP® Italian Track Workbooks, the Teacher’s Guide for AP® Italian, and a reader, Mi diverto con Gianluigi.
