Katie A. Baker is a Spanish teacher, writer, and illustrator. Originally from Bedford, Texas, Katie currently teaches in Idaho. She is known for highly effective teaching practices that lead students down the path to proficiency. In 2017, Katie was named the Idaho World Language Teacher of the Year, and in 2016, she was honored as the Heritage Middle School Teacher of the Year.
