About

Mariana is a bilingual educator, curriculum designer, and Professional Learning Specialist with a passion for empowering teachers and celebrating multiculturalism. She brings over a decade of teaching experience, having served as an AP Spanish Teacher, Grade Team Leader, and Mexican American Studies educator at the high school level. As a first-generation Latina, Mariana draws from her own lived experiences to foster inclusive, identity-affirming learning environments that honor students’ voices and heritage.

She has led district-wide instructional initiatives, developed yearlong interdisciplinary curricula aligned to TEKS and ACTFL standards, and designed accessible, tech-forward resources to support multilingual learners and general education teachers.

Her current work centers on professional development, translanguaging strategies, and integrating culturally responsive pedagogy into instructional design. Committed to equity, language access, and innovation, Mariana combines classroom-tested practices with research-based strategies to support educators in building rigorous and inclusive learning experiences that reflect the communities they serve.
