Designed to assist in the preparation for the Advanced Placement
Spanish Literature Examthis text provides students with the opportunity not only to enjoy a wide array of some of
the best Spanish literary works, but also to gain insight into the historical and cultural background of Spain and Latin America.

the period’s trends and cultural norms, followed by sketches of the intellectual development and literary environment
of the authors. Explanations of the author’s themes, analysis questions, AP type essay topics, suggestions for discussions
and numerous related activities, and unabridged versions of all the poetry and prose texts from the Middle Ages to the beginning
of the 20th century are included as well. (Grades 11-12)

¿Quién
se robó los colores?
|
Revised second edition - For Spanish levels 1 and 2 classes, and highly recommended for heritage speakers, this new edition is based
on a precolumbian myth about the origin of the first man on earth. It relates the adventures of Are, a butterfly
girl who travels through different kingdoms of colors. Her mission to reclaim the colors’ power from the computer
of an evil and greedy man named Taya places her in constantly challenging situations.
Prereading and postreading exercises provide
a variety of structures designed to develop all language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. By combining
the traditional elements of Colombian indians’ oral culture with modern concepts such as an entire world on
a computer screen, this reader presents a truly creative and enjoyable way to learn Spanish.
